Shopping barometer is based on a project initiated by the European Cities Marketing (ECM) Research & Statistics Knowledge Group designed to benchmark city tourism destinations in Europe by price level.
Launched last March in Saint-Petersburg during the ECM Spring meeting, citytourismbenchmark.com is a new on-line tool enabling city tourism destinations to benchmark their performances.
At the European Cities Marketing meeting held in Bilbao, Spain on 18th November 2011, Lone Alletorp Callard was elected the new Vice Chairperson of the Research & Statistics Knowledge Group, replacing Henrik Jutbring (Gothenburg & Co), who recently stepped down. Olivier Ponti continues as Chairperson of the group.
