Presentation of the new Vice Chairperson of the Research & Statistics Knowledge Group
Lone has worked in tourism all her professional life at different levels and with different organisations, in Denmark, but also in Spain and the UK. Lone studied Tourism Management first at the University of Plymouth and later at Sheffield Hallam University (both located in the UK), where she received an MSc in Tourism Management in 1998. Lone pursued her career in tourism in the UK first at the theme park “Legoland Windsor” and later as a Research Analyst at Arthur Andersen, working primarily on hotel benchmarking. Lone moved back to Denmark and joined Wonderful Copenhagen in 2001, where she has worked ever since as a Senior Research & Development Consultant. At Wonderful Copenhagen Lone has worked on a range of different tourism studies, surveys, impact studies and development projects within city tourism.
Copenhagen and Lone joined the ECM Research & Statistic Group several years ago and have from the beginning been an active member, contributing to the development of the group’s work. Lone is looking forward to continuing the work and the development of the group. As Vice Chairperson Lone will be supporting the Chairperson in the continuous development of the group and in the co-ordination of research activities within the ECM network and partners.
