Knowledge Groups are an essential part of City Destinations Alliance and are one of the key success factors for the association.
The Knowledge Groups are the true experts, the incubators of new ideas and the most important source of insights and expertise.
All groups are driven by members, who invest their time and efforts to share inspiration, best practices and to produce joint projects and products to benefit the whole CityDNA community.
To join a group or to suggest the creation of a new group, you must be a member of City Destinations Alliance and contact Camille from the Head Office.

The City Cards Knowledge Group’s purpose is to challenge and support DMOs across Europe in the development of their city cards. The aim is to strengthen the city cards community through enhanced benchmarking facilitated by surveys, Expert Meetings, shared learnings, and discussions..

The Marketing & Communication Knowledge Group’s purpose is to contribute on the process to create awareness of the positive aspects of Destinations, through marketing strategies and a correct communication plan to help DMOs promote their city through online and offline channels.

The Research & Insights Knowledge Group co-ordinates all research activities within the City Destinations Alliance network, collaborating with a wide range of CityDNA partners to initiate and exchange knowledge on market research to the benefit of city tourism destinations in Europe and to bring fresh insights and opportunities to the wider membership.

The Trend Room aims to bring the Alliance to the very forefront of trends and innovations in the urban cityscape by developing an in-house trend watching hub where thought leaders find each other to discuss the future of cities and the visitor economy and by providing the CityDNA members with inspirational ideas and insights to help them develop new strategies for the future.
