The Mercado: a truly worthwhile business workshop

The Mercado: a truly worthwhile business workshop The Mercado is a day-and-a-half-long workshop which will take place from 26th to 28th March 2009 in Montreux, Switzerland. Its principle is simple: a maximum of 15 bureaus will each bring a Corporate Client from their own country to exchange their mutual contacts and maximise business opportunities.

It is a great occasion which will bring together ECM members, allow them to meet the key decision-makers of the European meetings industry, and facilitate business between them. This interactive way of working gives all participants a unique opportunity to enhance their business network: clients get to know different destinations and Convention Bureaus increase their business prospects around Europe.

The programme is organized in such a way as to enable participants to establish first contacts during an informal networking dinner on Thursday evening. Friday is dedicated to the workshop proper, followed by a discussion and a technical visit to Fairmont le Montreux Palace and Montreux Music & Convention Centre. The highlight of the event will be a special dinner on Friday evening.
