The Joint Meetings Industry Council is the association for the exchange of information and perspectives amongst international associations engaged in various aspects of the Meetings Industry.
JMIC consists of a number of international organizations who share a common interest and involvement in the Meetings Industry. The industry incorporates a series of segments which have in common the gathering of individuals for primarily business purposes and includes such activities as meetings, conventions, exhibitions, trade shows and corporate/incentive.
JMIC has provided a forum for information exchange, strategy development and the recognition of excellence amongst industry groups for well over 50 years and is currently focusing on documenting and communicating the diverse values of the industry to broader community and governmental audiences in order to generate greater appreciation for its key role in supporting global economic, academic, professional and social development.
