Help Shape the Future of CityDNA: Join a Standing Committee

City Destinations Alliance is launching six new standing committees, creating new opportunities for members to contribute directly to the development and implementation of CityDNA’s priorities.

Designed to strengthen member-led governance across the Alliance, the committees will bring together expertise, experience and perspectives from destinations across Europe. They will provide a structured way for members to turn shared challenges and knowledge into concrete action, while helping shape CityDNA’s future direction.

Six committees, six areas for action

Members can apply to contribute to one of six standing committees:

  • Brand Positioning, Marketing & Communication
  • EU Engagement
  • Membership
  • Conferences & Events
  • Commercial Partnerships
  • Knowledge Groups Coordination

Each committee will focus on a specific area of CityDNA’s activities, working closely with the Board and Head Office to develop initiatives, provide recommendations and support implementation.

By bringing together people with different roles, backgrounds and destination perspectives, CityDNA aims to create balanced and representative committees that reflect the diversity of its membership.

Turning expertise into action

Committee members will be invited to bring their destination’s experience, challenges, ideas and expertise to the table and contribute actively to dedicated workstreams.

The commitment is for a two-year mandate, with approximately four meetings per year, primarily online and with at least one in-person meeting.

More than an advisory role, committee membership offers an opportunity to participate directly in the work of the Alliance: developing tangible initiatives, exchanging practices with peers and contributing to priorities that matter to CityDNA members.

Strengthening member-led governance

The new standing committees are also designed to create stronger connections between CityDNA’s members, its Board and the wider Alliance.

Committees will report to the Board following their meetings and provide an annual report to the General Assembly, ensuring their work remains visible, connected to CityDNA’s strategic direction and accountable to the membership.

For participants, this means an opportunity to deepen relationships with peers from across Europe, take on leadership responsibilities and play an active role in shaping the Alliance.
