\n

The seminar topic for this meeting lies at the heart of every city marketing professional – the quality of the visitor experience. Entitled “The visitor journey in European cities – striking a balance between brand promise and the reality of the visitor experience”, the seminar brings together a distinguished set of speakers including celebrated travel journalist Alison Rice, leading academic Professor John Lennon (author of “dark Tourism”), top quality consultant Mandy Lane, and city brand guru Jeremy Hildreth.

\n

Mandy is Director of Live Tourism will set out her concept of the Visitor Journey – a 360° model of tourism delivery. The Visitor Journey is a holistic approach to developing tourism strategies centred upon the visitor. It follows the visitor through a sequence of events and emotions – from the initial planning stages, to leaving the home environment, through to the return home and recollection stages:

\n

\n

Finally, your city brand will be put to the test by Jeremy Hildreth, Head of Place Marketing at Saffron Consulting.  Saffron is a blue chip branding consultancy with offices in London, Madrid, Mumbai, and New York. Saffron’s Chairman, Wally Olins, needs no introduction!

\n
