CALL FOR TENDER: CityDNA is seeking conference curators who can develop inspiring, innovative and forward-thinking programmes with original formats

City Destinations Alliance, the European knowledge sharing alliance for cities and urban regions gathering 120+ destinations (DMOs), inspires and pushes forward the movement towards better urban tourism and city destinations.

City Destinations Alliance should be recognised as the leading forum in Europe and beyond for inspiration and leadership on future-ready and regenerative city destinations. Our members express continued appreciation for the explorative and forward-thinking programming we offer, and this will maintain highest priority.

CityDNA organises two conferences annually, hosted in different member destinations each time. Member cities are bidding to host the event and showcase their destination. CityDNA Board takes the final decision through a careful process.

We want to increase and diversify the members attending our conferences with at least 10% new attendees for the two annual conferences. The quality of the programme and content will undoubtedly be crucial to reach this objective.

Each conference revolves around a theme suggested by the conference curators and discussed with the CityDNA Board. The chosen theme must be current and relevant, as it shapes the entire programme, inspiring discussions and debates. It must be in line with Welcoming WeGeneration, our long-term purpose and vision. Topic should highlight how DMOs have the unique opportunity to make a real difference, they can connect people, cities and cultures and contribute to the quality of life in European cities.

The conferences take place over the course of three days, usually from Wednesday to Friday, one in spring (March-April) and one in autumn (October).

CityDNA is seeking conference curators who can develop inspiring, innovative, and forward-thinking programmes with original formats and moderate the entire conference in an engaging manner. They will have to demonstrate a solid network and experience when recruiting speakers and conceptualising international events as well as a solid knowledge of the tourism and Meetings Industry sectors.
