4th TourMIS Workshop 4th ETC/ ECM TourMIS Users’ Workshop and ETC / UNWTO International Seminar on Forecasting and Strategic Planning

We are pleased to announce that the 5th ECM & ETC Joint TourMIS Users’ Workshop will take place at MODUL University, in Vienna, 3rd – 4th September, 2009. The event addresses managers, academics, consultants and representatives of governments and international organisations dealing with tourism.

In the light of the success of last year, the event will cover 2 days.

\n

The first day will offer training on the usage of the TourMIS, the marketing information-system for tourism managers, and on relevant methodologies to analyse tourism. The workshop mainly addresses actual and potential users of TourMIS as well as representatives of national and city tourism boards in Europe.

\n

The second day will be devoted to a seminar on the topic “Tourism Marketing and the Social Web”. The seminar will see international guest speakers from tourism organisations and the tourism and new media industry alternating on the podium to share knowledge and best practices on the use of web 2.0 for destination marketing and marketing intelligence.

The workshop is jointly organised by European Cities Marketing, European Travel Commission & MODUL University Vienna.
