About City Destinations Alliance (CityDNA):

We are a European knowledge sharing network for cities and urban regions working to unfold the potential of the visitor economy. Our vision is for all cities in Europe to flourish as great places to live, work, meet and explore. We represent 120+ Destination Management Organisations in 38 different countries and help DMOs to demonstrate that the visitor economy can benefit the destinations’ social inclusion, cultural repertoire and relations, knowledge societies and local communities. DMOs are instrumental for strategic city management: they act as agenda-setter, project initiator and facilitator for the many stakeholders working for a better city.

Position overview:

CityDNA is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Membership Coordinator to join our team at our Head Office in Dijon (France). This role is pivotal in growing and maintaining our membership, provide support in developing our partnership strategy so we can elevate CityDNA brand and deliver more.

Key responsibilities, in cooperation with COO and existing team:

  • Develop and implement strategies to attract new members and retain existing ones in line with the strategic goals of CityDNA and contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with current and prospective members.
  • Ensure members’ participation and involvement in CityDNA events and activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of member interactions and update the membership database.
  • Prepare and present membership reports to the management team on a quarterly basis, participate in budget planning and controlling of business development.
  • Support in developing partners’ strategy and growth.

Key skills and qualifications:

  • Proven experience in sales, membership coordination, or customer relationship management.
  • Excellent interpersonal, sales, communication and presentation skills, with a natural ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Proactive and results-driven, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a results-oriented manner and have a “hands-on” mentality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems.
  • Knowledge and background studies in the tourism, events and hospitality industry is highly recommended.
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is a must; proficiency in French or other languages is an advantage.
  • Ability to prove one significant experience abroad.
  • Ability to travel regularly in Europe (in its largest sense).

Salary range:

  • Around 23 000 € over 13 months (gross) plus profit sharing.
